Sandra Wright

Sandra Ilene Wright, 68, died Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at her home in Des Moines, surrounded by her loving family. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial at Altoona Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2011 at the funeral home.

Sandra was born June 20, 1943, in Des Moines to Irene and Milford Dacken. She spent her life in the Des Moines area working as a clerk of court for Polk County. She loved knitting, doing cross stitch and embroidery, going to events at the Civic Center, watching the Green Bay Packers, and especially spending time with her grandsons.

She is survived by her sons: Chad (Angela) Wright and Cory Grant; her sister, Elaine Norman; her nephew Joe Brooks; her niece Julie Brooks; her cousin, Joe (Dixie) Hutzel; her grandchildren: Noah, Jonah, and Cameron; and many loving friends.
