Service Details
Jeremy Allen, 24, passed away in a tragic car accident on Sunday, November 20, 2011.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial following at Altoona Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, also at the funeral home.
Jeremy is survived by his mother, Debbie and step-father Steve Roeder; sister, Abby Allen; brother, Jake Allen; step-sister, Erika Roeder; grandmothers, Donna Courtney and Bessie Allen; grandfather, John May; grandparents, Loren and Karen Roeder; special aunt and uncle, Rick and Julie Carmer, whom he resided with for a time; his long-time companion and best friend, Jennifer Ragsdale; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Lee Allen; grandfather, Jerry Allen; and great-grandparents, Mary and Russ Mintle.
Jeremy was the type of person who never knew a stranger. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and spending time with his favorite dog, Angel.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa in honor of Jeremy.

Deb, I am so sorry for the loss of your wonderful son. I'm praying that you and your family find strength and peace.
