Sharon Witmer

Sharon Witmer, 72, passed away November 19, 2011 at Winterset Care Center North. She was born January 19, 1939 in Des Moines to J. Tom Dengle and Helen Miller.

Sharon was a lifelong resident of Des Moines. She enjoyed animals, gardening, homemaking, and spending time with her family.

Sharon is survived by her sons, Tracy Witmer and Brent Witmer of Des Moines; and one granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; and daughters, Connie and Linda.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, followed by burial at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
