Carol Jean McClain

Carol Jean McClain, 78, of Monticello IL., formerly of Altoona, died Monday, May 1, 2007 at home. Visitation will be 6-8 Friday, May 4, 2007 at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2007 at Ivy Centennial United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Canfield Cemetery in Ivy, Iowa.
Carol was born August 25, 1928 in Des Moines. She was the daughter of Dorothy and Carroll Youngkin. Carol married Dale McClain on Dec.25, 1947.
Survivors include one son, Rodney (Debbie) McClain of Monticello, Illinois; one daughter, Debby Derry of Monticello Illinois; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one brother Dwight (Dawn) Youngkin of Marysville, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dale and one infant son.
