Service Details
Alver Erickson, 91, passed away November 12, 2011 at Iowa Methodist Hospital. He was born July 29, 1920. He proudly served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a loving father who had a great sense of humor and would help anyone.
Alver is survived by his sons, Douglas, Gary (Shirley), Alan, and Mark; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn; and all of his brothers and sisters.
A private memorial service is planned by the family.

So sorry to hear about your dad. I know you wil miss him alot. I miss my parents greatly, but I know they are in a great place and someday I will see them again and they will all meet us and it will be a day of celebration!!! Take care and know I am thinking of you during this time.

DOUG, GARY, ALAN AND MARK. SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR DAD. I REMEMBER HIM AS QUIET AND GENTLE. HE WAS ALWAYS QUICK TO SMILE AND LAUGH. GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND HELP YOU THOUGH THIS DIFFICULT TIME.
