Service Details
Alicia Irene Dale, 86, died Sunday, November 6, 2011 at her home. A funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial following at Glendale Cemetery. A visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
Alicia was born January 14, 1925 in Lovilia, IA to Ben and Myra Malone. She enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events.
Alicia is survived by her children Mary Curts of Tampa, FL, Margaret VanCooten of St. Joseph, MO, Thomas (Pam) Dale, Kenneth (Lori) Dale, Patricia Dale, Theresa Dale, Anna (Alan) Sigmund and Karen Dale all of Des Moines; 15 grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth and brother, Edwin Malone.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Make a Wish Foundation or the Animal Rescue League.
