Elizabeth Fees

Elizabeth Fees, 91, of Des Moines, died Sunday, April 29, 2007 at Kavanagh House on 56th. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 3, 2007 at The Salvation Army Citadel, 1216 E. 25th Ct. in Des Moines. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Burial will take place in Avon Cemetery.
Elizabeth was born September 17, 1915 to Gay and Della Zimmerman. She graduated from Knoxville High School in 1933. She worked as a homemaker, and enjoyed yard work, cooking, needlework, reading, and word games. She was a member of Ladies HomeLeague.
Elizabeth is survived by her son, Phillip (Carol) Fees of Fairbury, NE, her daughter, Mary Jane Silvestri of Chandler, AZ, her daughter, Judy (Tom) Warburton of Altoona, her daughter, Karen (Bernard) Jakl of Henderson, NV, her daughter, Della (Jackie) Miller of Des Moines, and her son, George (Joyce) Fees of Mesa, AZ; her brother, George (Grace) Zimmerman of Texas, Margaret Seivers of Des Moines, and Leonard Zimmerman of Des Moines;17 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren;10 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, her son Richard, two brothers and one sister.
