Christina Landers

Christina Fern (Selover) Landers, 86, died Saturday, April 28, 2007 in Carlisle, Iowa where she resided in the Carlisle Care Center. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 1st at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Christina Fern (Selover) Landers, youngest child of Walter Roy Selover and Tiny Lynn Harper was born March 29, 1921 in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from Van Meter High School in 1939. Except for a few years in Seattle, Washington, Christina Fern (Selover) Landers lived most of her life in the Des Moines, Iowa area. On March 26, 1948 she was married to Harold C. Landers. They later divorced.
She held numerous jobs throughout her life from civil service positions during the 1940s to working for Guardsman Insurance and the State of Iowa from which she retired.

She was a member of the Unity Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her six brothers and one sister. Left to cherish her memory are her two children; Christy Saul and husband, James, of Des Moines, Iowa and Kerry Landers and wife, Ellen, of Carlisle, Iowa; grandson, K. Patrick Landers; step grandchildren John and Kelly Saul; and six step great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered by many as a kind caring person. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial donations may be given to Hospice of Central Iowa.
