William Banks, Jr., 68, passed away October 22, 2011 at his home in Des Moines. He was born January 9, 1943 to Margaret A. Gorman and William Banks, Sr.
William is survived by his daughter, Tajuana and her mother, Connie Jones; eight sisters, seven brothers, and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, William P. Banks, Sr.; sisters, Beverly and Marva Banks; and his brother, Dean A. Banks.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of William.

Tajuana,
We all must walk this difficult path at sometime in our lives. But please know that you are not alone. There is a greater power that walks with you every step of the way. Know also that I am thinking of you and praying that you will find comfort in the thoughts of all of the good times you shared with your father. You must find faith in this life. It's like a light that shows you the way, will warm you and help you understand.
Be steady and be strong. And again know that I am on the path with you and am praying for you and your family.
Remember tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike. Therefore, make the most of today and hold those that you love very very tight. Therefore, if tomorrow never comes,....you will have no regrets about today.
You are in my thoughts and prayers always.
