Lena Ann Cassettari, 95, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Bishop Drumm Care Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Christ the King Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 25, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a 6:30 p.m. rosary at Hamilton’s Southtown 5400 SW 9th St.
Lena Ann Cassettari was born October 25, 1915 in Marquisville, Iowa to Attilio and Ersilia (Bondioli) Cassettari. She grew up in Des Moines, and worked as a seamstress. Lena enjoyed arranging silk flowers, cooking, and making candies.
Survivors include her nieces, Ellen (Jim) Becker and Margaret (Dennis) Allen; nephew, John Cassettari; great-niece, Theresa Becker; great-nephew, Matthew (Kimberly) Becker; one great-great niece; and two great-great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Nella Cassettari and Inez Stewart; brother, Gino Cassettari; nephew, Gene Cassettari and a great-nephew, Curtis Becker.

As a child I spent some time out there visiting in the 1950's and 60's.What a great family . My Mother was a Bondioli. Attilio and Ersilia Nella , Inez,Lena and Geno what nice people.
