James Chapman

James Russell Chapman, 79, passed away at his home October 16, 2011. He was born May 9, 1932 in Des Moines to Russell and Marguerite (Sohn) Chapman.

James was a piano teacher for many years. He loved all types of music especially Opera. Playing the piano was his greatest passion in life, although battling glaucoma, James continued to play every day up until his death.

James is survived by his sisters, Margaret DeHart and Marilyn Davenport, both of Union City, California; niece, Elyssa Castro; nephews, Jeff and Eric Roe; great-niece, Isabelle; great-nephew, Noah, all of California; and many beloved friends.

A Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2011, at Kingdom Hall, 6271 NE 14th St.
