Gilbert J. Frahm, 85, passed away October 14, 2011 at Valley View Nursing and Rehab Center in Eldora.
Gilbert was born March 19, 1926. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1947 and was honorably discharged. He married Darlene Olson in 1951.
Gilbert is survived by his wife of 60 years, Darlene; children, Gene (Myrna) Frahm, Jolene Frahm, Greg Frahm and Dale Frahm; three grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Hildur Frahm.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th St. followed by burial at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be donated at a later date.

To all the Frahms. Iam so sorry to hear about Gilbert's passing. I know that he is much happier where he is now and that he is not in pain anymore. I want to express my deepest condolences to all of you. Darlene. Gene. Greg Jolene and Dale. I tried to call when i found out but phones have been disconnected.
