John Buckalew

John William Buckalew, 66, passed away on November 7, 2006 at his home in Thayer. Memorial services will be at 11 am Friday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Burial of John’s cremated remains will be at Berwick cemetery.
John was born January 24, 1940 in Woodburn to Irene and Basil Buckalew.
He served in both the U.S. Army and the Army National Guard. He worked at Precision Pulley and Idler as a Tool and Die Maker. John enjoyed snowmobiling and fishing as well as tinkering. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
John is survived by his loving wife, Norma, his daughter, Carol Rayburn and spouse Monte, his son, Terry Dabb; his 2 grandchildren, Amity Hicks and Shawn Hicks, 3 great grandchildren, Alexis, Georgeann and Sophia; his three brothers, Paul, Clyde and Larry Buckalew; his five sisters, Zella Horney, Alice Day, Edna Breese, Carolyn Roush and Betty Mathis.
John was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and his son.
