Rosemary (Cipale) McAninch was born on July 8, 1942 to Mary (Biondi) and Charles Cipale. She passed away peacefully at her home on October 13, after a long and couragous battle with cancer. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Darrell, son David (Beth) Williams, daughter Tanya (Chris) Smith, step-daughters Teresa (Marvin) Pollock, Kerry (Steve) Gillman, nine grandchildren, three great- grandchildren, five sisters Josephine Sheehan, Anna Marie (Ronald) Harsh, Margaret (David) Murray, Marilyn (Santos) Campero, Carolyn (Donald) Hartley and two brothers Joseph (Shirley) Cipale and Gary Cipale.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Angelo Cipale, Charles Cipale and sister Theresa Papiani.
There will be a memorial on October 30th from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Police hall in Pleasant Hill 5374 NE 12th Ave.
A special Thank You to Oncology and Radiation staff at Iowa Methodist especially Dr. Thomas Buroker, Pat and Michelle. Also to Hospice of Central Iowa staff, Sarah, Michele, Chelsey, Leann, Connie, Jill and Dana. Also to Bill Ainsley interpreter for Deaf Services Unlimited. All memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.

Darrell and family, I'm sorry I was unable to attend Rosie's memorial due to illness. I hope you found comfort in the memorial. I will always remember Rosie's smiling face and positive attitude. I know you are in a better place and you will be forever in the hearts and soles of everyone you have touched throughout your life. It brings a smile to my face when I think back on my childhood, hearing you laugh when I would call you Mary Roses instead of Rosemary, drinking coffee and talking into the wee hours of the morning. They call you step mother....I always thought of you as my other mother and a good one you were.

Rosie was such an inspirational, vibrant, constantly giving and caring woman that I will miss. I remember my first days here in the Des Moines area and Wells and how she took me into her heart and life. She taught me many things about my job, my life and my view of life. She will forever be in my thoughts and I'm so sad to know she endured suffering and hardship. No person with a heart of gold, like Rosie, should ever have to endure what she did. Her strength and courage was so great. She touched many lives and will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with Darrell and the whole entire family.

Faith, hope, strength, courage, loving, inspirational describe you my sis.
I have written many things in the past, but putting in words what you mean to me is not by any means easy.
No way did I want to see you go, but my heart could not stand to watch you any longer go thru the pain and suffering you have endured these past few years, so I prayed to God to take you to a better place and I know that you are happy to be with other family members and out of pain.
I will forever cherish all the good times we shared. Those memories will get me and the rest of the family thru this, in time.
You will forever be on my mind, in my heart and on my lips. I love you and miss you terribly.

Sis, you are in a better place now. You have fought the cancer for so long but, you were very strong until the end. You will be miss by all of us but, I know you are looking down on all of us with mom and dad. It is very hard not seeing that pretty smile of yours. We will always love you and you will be in our hearts forever. I love you Sis.
