Margaret was born into this world on July 21, 1959, in Sioux City, Iowa. Marg burst into Heaven on Wednesday morning, October 13, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center, her third family.
To know Marg was like being touched by an angel. She was blessed not just by her family but yours, Bill, her church, Mercy, and the neighborhood; she was just an angel among us. She became Bill’s left hand on July 22, 1995.
Marg is survived by her husband, Bill and the kids, Saber and Spirit. She was preceded in death by her adopted parents, Peter and Juletta Flies; her daughter, Juletta Marjorie Mary; and son, William Peter John.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 10 a.m., Monday, October 17, 2011, at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 4003 2nd Avenue, Des Moines. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Sunday, October 16, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines.
Marg has requested that anyone joining the family for visitation or the Celebration of Life service to please dress comfortably and casually. “You can’t have a party if you look like you’re going to a funeral!”
Memorial contributions may be made to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Mercy or Family Helping Families at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in loving memory of Marg.

Brother, John I am sorry for the loss of your wife, Margaret. As we remember her and Dawn who were taken from us early in their lives leaving us with a gaping hole and answers and questions. Why ? Let us remember they are in a wonderful place and peaceful place, and we will see them again someday.

God has called an angel home. She has left behind memories for all who knew her.
in those memories she lives on in different ways for all of us. My heartfelt sympathies go out to Bill and all her family and friends as she will be missed.
