Fred Erickson

Fred L. Erickson, 63, died Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at Iowa Methodist Hospital from complications of cancer. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2007 at First Assembly of God Church, 1700 West 2nd Avenue, Indianola. Visitation will be held from 11-1 p.m. Monday at the church.
Fred was born September 1, 1943 to Orlen and Edith Erickson in Rolla, MO. He worked at EMCO Industries for 30 years, Walmart, and most recently Betts Cadillac. Fred attended First Assembly of God Church in Indianola and served in the Marines during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.
Fred is survived by his wife of 35 years, Marcia Erickson; children, Jacki (Greg) McElvaney, Dale (Camile) Erickson, Deanna (Kevin Hegwood) Erickson, David (Amy) Erickson, and Debra (Chris) Guenther; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Sharon (Mike) Middleton and Mary Ruth (Mark) McGrew; brother, Howard Erickson; mother, Edith Custard; stepmother, Pat McVeigh; and a host of other family and beloved friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Orlen Erickson; and brother, Stanley Erickson.
