Mary Katherine Good, 80, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2011, at Fleur Heights Care Center.
Mary was born December 29, 1930, in Des Moines. She graduated from North High School. Mary owned and operated Mary’s Doll Hospital, where she restored and repaired dolls. She raised basset hounds and was a collector of many things including antiques and rocks. Mary will be fondly remembered as a very faithful woman.
Mary is survived by her sons, William LaVern and James Dale Good; grandchildren, Adam and Brandon Good, April Sample and Elliott Evans; and brother, Richard Maskrey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert “Dale” Good; children, Mary Ellen and Thomas Good; brother, Mike Maskrey; and her sister, Pat Swanson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

My husband and I would like to express our deepest condolences to you and all who knew Mary, during this time of great sorrow, that has touched the hearts of many family members and friends. We also have felt such pain. Though our hearts are broken, at such times, be assured our Grand Ceator cares about you personally. (1 Peter 5:7) and can help you get through this difficult time. Revelation 21:3,4 speaks of a time, when God will do away with sickness, death, and pain forever. May you find comfort from the memories you shared together, cherish them always. Take care of yourselves and each other at this very difficult time.

Many many childhood memories in the neighborhood at your house,in the garden,helping with all the puppies. You will and have been missed. May you rest in peace.

Aunt Mary,
Thank you for being the loving aunt and sister you have always been. I know Mom, Uncle Dale, Tommy, Mary Ellen, Uncle Mike and Grandpa and Grandma must be very excited to see you!I am sure you are having a wonderful reunion right now!
You and Uncle Dale will be remembered as two of the most loving, generous people I've had the honor of knowing.
I rejoice in your healing and in your receiving the marvelous reward you so dearly deserve.
I will see you again, and until then you will remain in my heart.
