Barbara Moyer Hunt, 60, passed away October 3, 2011, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. She was born September 29, 1951, in Des Moines to William and Hazel (Brown) Moyer.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Robert; sons Carl (Tami) Fudge and Billy (Amy) Fudge; her grandchildren, Andrew, Courtney, Blake and Emily; brother, Willie Johnson; and sister, Rose Schermerhorn. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Carolyn Nickerson.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.

So sorry to hear of Barbara's death. She was a fellow worker of mine at The Homestead. She was truly a good friend and co-worker. She was one of the only friends from The Homestead who came to my mother's funeral, and I was truly greatful for her care and compassion at the time. My father had died prior to my mother, only eight months earlier. She always remembered to send me a Christmas card, and, I was truly blessed to have known Barbara. My condolences to her husband Robert, and her sons Bobby and Carl. She spoke often of her family, and her grandson Andrew. She will be truly missed. Rest in Peace my friend. You were a Great Lady.

so sorry to hear of barb's passing. my sympathy goes out to her family. i have known barb for over 40 years as we used to be neighbors in grade school. i was just thinking about her the other day and then my mom found the article in the paper. i am sorry i was not able to attend her funeral as i was out of town at the time of it. again my deepest synpathy for her family and friends. mary

I have had to give up three of my family members to god up in heaven,and all i can think about is how happy their mothers are, now seeing their children again.And how of them took you all to paradise. where there is justed all filled with and Joy and Love, just thinking of all of this as just how i said it helps me know that my DAD will be there for me when its my time the i know that my cousin Barb is there with everyone of us that went before us. Love you Barb with all my heart, MoM sends her love and she said take care of your mom for her and she loves you both ...

I am so sorry for your loss. She was my cousin. I have been sick and was unable to join the viewing. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
May she rest in peace. May the Lord give you all strenth at this most sorrowful time.

BILLY,CARL,FAMILY.GOD LOOKED AROUND HIS GARDEN AND FOUND AN EMPTY PLACE,AND THEN HE LOOKED DOWN UPON EARTH AND SAW BARB TIRED FACE.HE PUT HIS ARMS AROUND HER AND LIFTED HER TO REST,GOD'S GARDEN MUST BE BEAUTIFUL, HE ALWAYS TAKES THE BEST.HE KNEW THAT SHE WAS SUFFERING,IN PAIN,IN SILENT.HE KNEW THAT SHE WOULD NEVER GET WELL ON EARTH AGAIN.HE SAW THE ROAD WAS GETTING ROUGH,AND THE HILLS WERE HARD TO CLIMB,SO HE CLOSED HER EYELIDS,AND WHISPERED.'PEACE BE THINE'.IT BROKE OUR HEARTS TO LOSE HER BUT SHE DIDN;T GO ALONE,FOR PART OF US WENTWITH HER THE DAY GOD CALLED HER HOME.BARB YOU WILLBE MISSED MY THOUGHTS ,PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU. Oh Barb....I didn't realize you were so sick. You didn't like to tell anyone. I got mad at you over the summer because you didn't tell me you had been in the hospital. I wish I had known so I could have done something for you. I am going to miss you so much!

uncle bobby and family my prayers and love are with you .
she was a gentle loving and fantastic person i have so many fond memories of her of her including of which would be snookers and her and i when the furnace went out it was something her and i laughed about and talked about for years she will be missed. Uncle bobbie , carl billy,tammi my prayers are with ya if i can do anything plz let me know

As I don't understand why, or try to figure out the reasons, all I can say is Barb you are truly going to be missed. And I know it's not good bye, but see ya later. You were loved by so many in the family.. And friends. You had a heart of gold, and spoke kindly with those angel lips. I have so many fond memories Barb, and those memories will stay with me.
