Melvin L. Ivie, 60, passed away April 24, 2007 of liver cancer at Taylor House Hospice. Private family service will be held at a later date.
Melvin was born October 1, 1946. He married Linda Collins on September 3, 1966. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, going to casinos and his special dog, Sissy.
Melvin is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Rick and Regina Ivie; sisters, Sharon Petrie, Connie Urias, Debra Brewer and Vicki Bennett; sisters-in-law, Sandra Foster and Phyllis Collins; and his grandchildren, Melinda, Dayjiha, Michael, Crystal and Paradise. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mary (Wimber) Ivie.
Melvin’s family would like to extend a special thank you to everyone at Taylor House.
