Rita M. Brumley

Rita Brumley, 48, went home to her Savior on Thursday, September 22, 2011, at Mercy Hospital. She was born December 15, 1962, to Danny and Bobbie Sease in Des Moines.

Rita graduated from Lincoln High School, and worked as a switchboard operator for the VA Hospital in Des Moines. She enjoyed crocheting, playing all games, especially internet games, fishing, and cats and dogs. She loved family get-togethers and family reunions. Rita was friendly to everyone and never met a stranger. She had a loving heart, great smile, and contagious laugh.

Rita is survived by her husband, Shawn; children, Robert and Treasa Mae; parents, Danny and Bobbie Sease; sisters, Treasa Byrd, Pam (Craig) Lonneman, and Paula (Shaun Jennex) Sease; half-brother, Charles J. Torsky; sisters-in-law, Melanie Wood and Mindy Close; brothers-in-law, Don Brumley, Paul (Jane) White, and Dennis (Susanne) White; and a host of other family and beloved friends.

She was preceded in death by her all grandparents; dear aunt, Marilyn; and sister-in-law, Lori Brumley.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
