Judy L. Green, 63, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. Services will be held at a later date.
Born August 27, 1948, Judy Lorraine Harty was the daughter of Bruce and Gertrude (Caldwell) Connett. She grew up in Des Moines and was united in marriage to William “Bud” Green. Judy enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and listening to music. Most of all she loved spending time with Bud, her children, and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Bud Green; children, Sally (Delmar Delp) Green, Angela Green, and William Green Jr.; grandchildren, Ashley, Richard, Seth, Marcus, Kallie, Austin, Bailey, and Rickey. Judy is also survived by her siblings, George Connett, Alma Ziebell, Sandra Rossow, Barbara Houseman, Robin Connett, and Warren Connett. She was preceded in death by her father, Bruce Connett.

I am so very sorry you lost the love of your life my heart is with you and i am sure she is in a better place with the rest of our family i love you uncle bud with all my heart god bless you and give all the kids my love,,,,,love you aunt Judy forever you will be missed R>I>P

My mother was a great mother sister daughter and friend. She devoted her life to her husband and her children, they were the most important things to her. Her family always came first no matter what the cost or personal sacrifices she made. We were not a wealthy family and at times some would say we was dirt poor but my mother always made sure her kids had everything they needed and that we was always her first priority. one thing she made sure of is she made sure we were loved unconditionally, she never put us down for making mistakes and praised us when we did good she stood by us all no matter what we always new we could come to mom about anything and everything and she would give us the best advise a mother could give but no matter if she thought we were making the wrong choices or the right ones she stayed by our sides and supported us. I could never ask for a better mother cause she is was the poster child for what mothers should be... I only pray that i can be as good a mother to my children and teach them the same values that she tought me. Be good to your children, love them unconditionally, stand by them no matter the choices they make and nothing is more important than being truely loved and truely being loved back. It doesnt matter if you have money or not. Love is the true key to being happy and my mother loved and there for lived happily. So Please everyone remember to love first and the rest will fall into place. I love you Mom forever and always!!!
