Fanny Kinkade

Fanny M. Kinkade 93, of Valley View Village in Des Moines passed away Sunday, April 22, 2007 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines, IA. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue. Burial will take place in Highland Memory Gardens.
Fanny was born in Sioux Rapids, Iowa, July 27, 1913. She attended high school in Forest City, Iowa and went on to graduate in 1933 from Waldorf College, also in Forest City. She then taught school for several years before marrying Kenneth Kinkade of Cromwell, Iowa in 1939. After marriage they moved to Des Moines where they raised their family. Fanny was a homemaker until her children was grown, at which time she went to work for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company, where she eventually retired. She was a member of Highland Park Presbyterian Church for 60 years, Stewardess Club and North Side Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth in 1968. She is survived by three children, Margo Kendrick of Des Moines, Cheryl Kinkade of La Vista, NE, and Rex Kinkade and his wife, Mary of Des Moines. Also, five grandchildren; Mike Kendrick, Paul Kendrick, Hillary Miner, Lindsay Warden all of Des Moines and Chris Polen of La Vista, NE.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her name to Highland Park Presbyterian Church, 321 Euclid Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa
