Betty Lyman

Betty Jean Lyman, 88, was born May 28, 1923 and passed away peacefully Sunday, September 4, 2011 at University Park Nursing and Rehab.

Betty is survived by her children, Sandra Cooper, Rebecca Lyman, Richard Lyman and Robert Lyman; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Peres Lyman; son, Michael Lyman; siblings, Roberta White, Robert White and James White; her mother, Velda White and her father and step-mother, Roland and Elsie White.

Cremation has occurred and memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2011 at Commerce Community Church, 4007 High Street in West Des Moines. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Betty. Hamilton’s Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
