Bryan Kruse, 50, passed away August 31, 2011, at his home in Des Moines.
Bryan was born June 13, 1961, to Roland and Jeanne Kruse in Des Moines. He worked at Garcia’s of Scottsdale and Felix & Oscars for many years. Bryan’s world revolved around his son, Nicholas. They enjoyed spending time together and playing pool. Bryan was also an excellent bowler.
Bryan is survived by his beloved son, Nicholas; former spouse, Linda Knapp; mother, Jeanne Kruse; brothers, Craig (Annette) Kruse and Mike (Marjorie) Kruse; and many other extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Roland.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 3, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Bryan was a good friend. I worked with him for many years at Garcias. We bowled together, fished together and always had a good time. He always had a good things to say and he always had a smile on his face.
He will be missed.

Bryan and I were friends growing up on 48th Street. He's a couple years older than I. I remember we would try out new wrestling moves on each other in my front yard some summer afternoons. We built (or at least attempted to build) a tree house in his back yard. We also had a lot of fun taking our fishing poles and some bread or bacon with us down to the cemetery pond and fish for bluegill or bullhead. I also remember going with him and his dad down to the farm near Truro a few times. We would shoot cans with his rifle and listen to a Kansas City Royals game on the radio on the ride back. I have good memories of our times together. I considered him a good friend. My thoughts go out to Mrs. Kruse, Craig, Mike and the rest of Bryan's family. Rest in peace, Bryan.
