Service Details
Jesus sent his Angels to bring Mike home on Wednesday, August 31st.
Mike is temporarily separated from a huge, loving family and numerous friends. He fought a hard and courageous battle with cancer, caused by his service to our country in Vietnam. Mike retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 2009 after forty years of service.
He had a large heart for his feathered friends. and fed them faithfully year round. For his entertainment, he enjoyed watching NASCAR and his favorite football team, the Chicago Bears, in his man-cave garage.
For now, he is waiting happily for his joyful reunion someday with his mother Esther; his wife Jeane; one son Tony (Holly); two daughters Tammie (Steve) and Jennifer (John); and five grandchildren Jace, Alex, Andrew, Amanda, and Gabrielle. He also looked forward to being reunited with his dog Skipper; and Jeane’s dog Mitzie.
Services are planned for Tuesday, September 6th at Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, Iowa, at 2:00 P.M. Flowers may be sent to Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 210 Walnut Street, Room 566, Des Moines, Iowa 50309.

I enjoyed meeting and working with you for all of those years. You were always a nice guy. You never got caught up in all the drama. I am so sorry you had to go to soon. You were such a good guy and you will be missed!

Jeane, Ester and Family,
Mike was a dear friend who will be missed by so many. We will all miss his ready smile, "corny" jokes and the many stories about growing up and dealing his Mom and Morry fits.
His legacy, besides his family, will be the many, many friends who will miss him.

So many fond memories with Mike, from when we both lived next door to Grandma Gee, to when he was on leave from the Air Force and he took Bob and I out sleding at Grandview Park.
MIke say Hi, to everybody up there, I will miss you . You were always like my big brother!
I am happy you that you are now at peace. we will all miss you so much, but will look forward to our big Gee Reunion in Heaven someday!

I Love you dad and will see you again someday. Enjoy your new and peaceful life with Jesus and all your loved ones and friends. Make sure you tell Skip, Rags and Kissy "HI" from all us.
