Dennis DeGard

Dennis DeGard, 47, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 11a.m.on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Leon Cemetery in Leon, IA.
Dennis was born in Denver, Colorado. He had been sick most of his life. He had strong family ties. Dennis was proud of his four children and loved spending time with them and the rest of his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and had a real passion for drawing.
Dennis is survived by his mother, Patricia DeGard; children, Nicholas, Travis, Tyler and Anthony DeGard; sister, Deborah Whisler; brothers, Danny and David Degard; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Peter DeGard.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
