Service Details
Ross “Harry” Flowers, Jr., 59, died Sunday, August 28, 2011, at Bright Kavanagh House. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 1, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. A visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Harry was born June 12, 1952, in Des Moines, to Harry and Norma Flowers. He worked at FW Mac and Town Delivery. Harry enjoyed bowling and camping.
Harry is survived by his mother, Norma Flowers; brother, Chris (Terri) Flowers; children, Melissa (Chad) Kennedy, Marcie (Mark) Wessinger, Amanda (Steve) Weatherly, Mariah (Danny) Flowers, Beau (Alyson) Flowers; and his ten grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Ross H. Flowers, Sr., and his sister, Becky Findley.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Hi
I work for Forward Air and I have had the pleasure of speaking to Harry on the phone many times, though I have never met him in person. Harry was a wonderful and kind person and he was ALWAYS cheerful and helpful. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all of his family during this time.

We wanted to send our condolences to all of your family. We will always have good memories of Harry from the baseball days. He was a great guy and coach. He will be missed alot I'm sure, but you have all your memories, good or bad that you will never forget. One day we will all meet up again with him. Take care and know you are in our prayers.
