I received in the mail a memorial from Darrell and Merna to order
Gideon Bibles in memory of Adam. I didn't even try to find this on
the internet until I received this. I am sitting here in silence
thinking about you and the entire family. We certainly do not under-
stand the ways of God. My brother asks the same question about his
wife Julie who died from cancer in January at the age of 64. They
has a lot of things planned also. I wonder why I went through a divorce
but someday we will understand. I don't know if you will still get
this or not but please know that I am thinking you. Marvin Boelman

I WOKE SATURDAY AND SHAKEN BY THE NEWS OF YOUR SON'S TRAGIC PASSING.IT HIT'S VERY CLOSE TO MY HOME AS I LOST MY ONLY SON THREE YEARS AGO UNDER THE EXACT SAME CIRCUMSTANCE.THEIR MISTAKES WERE TRIVIAL WHEN COMPARED TO THE CONSEQENCES.MY SON WOULD HAVE BEEN 22 MONDAY.I'D LIKE TO SHARE A LETTER WITH YOU. THERE ARE NO WORDS TO DISPEL YOUR FEELINGS AT THIS TIME,AND THERE IS NO TIME THAT WILL EVER DISPEL THEM.AND YET I CANNOT SHARE YOUR GREIF,BECAUSE NO ONE COULD SHARE MINE.WHEN ONE OF YOUR CHILDREN GOES OUT OF YOUR LIFE,YOU THINK OF WHAT HE MIGHT HAVE DONE WITH A FEW MORE YEARS AND YOU WONDER WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO WITH THE REST OF YOURS.YOU NEVER REALLY ACCEPT IT;YOU JUST GO THROUGH THE MOTIONS. THEN ONE DAY,BECAUSE THERE IS A WORLD TO BE LIVED IN,YOU FIND YOURSELF A PART OF IT AGAIN,TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING-SOMETHING THAT HE DID NOT HAVE TIME ENOUGH TO. AND,PERHAPS,THIS IS THE REASON FOR IT ALL..... I HOPE SO. WE HAVE NEVER MET BUT YOU ARE IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS BUT MOSTLY I WANTED YOU TO KNOW IN YOUR DARKEST HOUR YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

Please accept my deepest sympathies at the loss of Adam. My heart is heavy for you, Kris. As we spoke of our son's serving their country and praying for their safety while they were in country, we didn't expect Adam's life would be so short after coming home. When I heard the news I couldn't help but think that what has been meant for evil the Lord will turn into good. All my love, sympathy & prayers in your great loss.
