LuJean Amelia Schaefer

LuJean A. Schaefer was born on May 9, 1933 in Carroll, Iowa to Mary and Frank Huegerich. She passed away on August 25, 2011 at the Park Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center in Pleasant Hill.

She retired from CDS after seventeen years of service.

LuJean is survived by her two children, Tina Schaefer and Rex (Deann) Schaefer; her brother, Earl; her sisters, Viola, Thelma and Darlene; her grandchildren, Patrick Ross Jr., Cindy Johnston, Breann Schaefer, Holly Ross, Amy Ross and Mackenzie Schaefer ; her great grandchildren, Lilyan King, Kavon Ross, Olivia Remington, Lakota Johnston, Khloe Reeves, Danley Ross, Joshua Remington Jr., Kayana Ross and Jason Reeves Jr.

LuJean was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Schaefer.

A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2011 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5711 SW 9th Street. A funeral mass will be at 12 p.m. at the church with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
