Service Details
Sandy Abrams left this earth to be with Jesus in heaven on August 18, 2011. Sandy was born on December 6, 1945. She and her family lived most of their life in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Monday, August 22 at Heritage Assembly of God Church, 5051 NE 5th St. in Des Moines. The service will begin at 11 a.m. at the church.
Sandy will be greatly missed by her mother, Lillian Green; her husband, Larry Abrams; her children, Sandy, Mark, Janet and Matt; her seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren (whom she loved dearly).
Sandy was preceded in death by her dad, Charlie Green and her son, Larry Jr.
Sandy loved listening to Christian music, sewing plastic canvas and most of all serving Jesus.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sandy’s family.

Larry, Matt, Janet, and Mark;
I was so sad to hear of Sandy's passing. There was a time when she was like a mother to me and she will be greatly missed by me and everyone who knew her! She left her mark on this world and on anyone who knew her.
I hope it will be some comfort to know that the love and faith she had in God while here on earth is being rewarded to her right now. She will always have a special place in my heart and my thoughts and prayers are with you all in your time of grief and sorrow.

Greetings to all of you. Hugs with sympathy to you all Larry, Sandy, Mark, Janet, Matt and your extended families. So many years ago we were neighbors, shared our love for God, played guitar and sang songs to the Lord. One of these days we will share again at the feet of Jesus. May we ALL be there. Be asurred Jesus loves you and will be there as your heart grieves for your wife, mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother.

My family spent many Saturday and Sunday afternoons and evenings with the Abrams family while they lived in Fort Dodge. Although a mother is a precious part of the family, it is and will continue to be comforting for her entire family to remember that Sandy is celebrating with her Lord and Savior. My love and prayers go out to her family. Sandy, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother--what a rich life she had and continues to have. God bless to the family.
