Patricia (Patti) Leonetti Sanders, 58, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, August 13, 2011.
Patti was a very loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She was loved by all and will be very missed.
Patti is survived by her father; Pete Leonetti Sr., her husband; Denny Phipps, her children; Pat (Telisa) Sanders, Dave (Haley) Johnson and Rocky (Ashley) Phipps, eleven grandchildren and her siblings; Pam, Pete, Jr., Tom, Frank and Terry.
Patti was preceded in death by her son; Joe, mother; Colleen and brother; Tony.
Funeral services will he held Friday, August, 19, 2011, at 12 p.m., from Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home; 5400 SW 9th Street in Des Moines. Visitation will he held at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions can be made to the family at the funeral home.

i miss you grandma you were one of the very few i could ever come to for anything and now i feel lost without you here i know your not suffering anymore i just wish you were still here everytime i go by your house i can still see you sitting inside in your chair with dennie right there with you and it hurts so bad knowing that i can never hold you in my arms again

We just heard about Patti passing away on Thursday. Our hearts go out to her family and friends.

Dear Rocky, Dave, Pat, Denny, Pete and the rest of the family,
It was with great sadness that I read about Patti in the paper this morning. She was one of the most loving, funny and caring people I have ever met. She cared so deeply for all of you and was always there to lend a helping hand. I enjoyed my home school visits with her and Rocky and always left with a smile on my face. Oh the stories she could tell!
I know you will all miss her! She was truly one of a kind!
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.
