Service Details
Eva Mae DeVoe Woodford went home to be with her Lord on August 12, 2011. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at Linn Grove United Methodist Church in Prole. A visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, Des Moines.
Eva was born February 19, 1923, in Des Moines to Dorothea (Rong) and James DeVoe. She was a homemaker, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Eva was a longtime member of the Linn Grove United Methodist Church south of Norwalk. She was a founding member of the Norwalk Public Library, enjoyed sewing, making handmade greeting cards and baking.
Surviving are her three children, Susan (Jerry) Spieker of Norwalk, Kathy (George) Champ of Greenwood, IN and Randy Woodford of Dallas, TX; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Woodford and brother, James DeVoe.

I am so sorry to hear about your mothers passing. I will miss our long talks on the phone. We talked a lot about family, I know you will all miss her.
