Betty Johnson

Betty Jean Johnson, 71, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born January 4, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan, to Mamie and Adolf Rhode.

She lived in Iowa for 17 years and worked at Stone Container.

Betty is survived by her son, Paul (Denise) Johnson; daughter, Tammy (Chris) Sheldon; sister, Joan Ray; brothers, Edward (Ruth) Rhode and Dale (Rosie) Rhode; grandchildren, Paul, Rusty, Tyler, Duana, Jon, Michael and Joe; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Alec, Aspen, Adam, Tyler, Jonny, and Joselyn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul and son, Kevin.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 16, at Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home, 303 S Main Street, Crookston, MN, with burial to follow at Oakdale Cemetery in Crookston. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
