David Allen Thompson

David A. Thompson, 45, died Monday August 8, 2011, at his home. He was born December 21, 1965, to Billy and Vida McCullough in Des Moines.

David graduated from East High School, and enjoyed watching football, especially the Bears. He also enjoyed playing disc golf with his friends.

David is survived by his mother, Vida Thompson; brothers, Rick (Tammy) Thompson and Cliff (Angie) Thompson; nieces and nephews, Ricky (Drewnetta Parker), Jessica (Tim), Derek, Nate, Landen, Max and Lillianna; great-nephew, Teegan; great-niece, Allahna Parker; and a host of beloved friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Thompson; brother, William Thompson; and grandmother, Doris Shogren.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Swan Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
