Evelyn L. Holland, 85, passed away July 31, 2011, at Taylor House.
Evelyn was born June 18, 1926, in Luxora, Arkansas, to Otto and Louise (Dickson) Holland. She was a corporate secretary for Woodford Manufacturing Co. in Colorado Springs, Colorado, until her retirement in 1986 when she moved back to the Des Moines area. Evelyn enjoyed playing cards, various arts and crafts and spending time with her family.
Evelyn is survived by her nieces, Gina (Steven) Thomas, Layla Holland and Ashley Holland; nephews, Jeffary Dale Holland, John (Melissa) Fuhrman, Jeffary Dean (Anna) Holland, David Thomas and Jeffary Daniel Holland.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, E.O. Holland; sisters, Ruthann Fuhrman and Bettie Jean Holland.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be held from one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Worked with Evelyn for a number of years. Sorry to learn of her passing. I worked with her both in Des Moines and Colorado Springs. I know she will be missed. I wish the best for all of her family.
