Peggy Powell

Peggy A. Powell, 80, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2006 at Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 10, 2006 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with a Marine Corp League Auxiliary memorial service at 6:00 p.m.
Peggy worked for Iowa Paint for many years. She participated in ballroom dancing competitions throughout the United States, loved giving a helping hand and participated in making 15 memory quilts for the Iowa families of men who died in Iraq.
Peggy is survived by her husband Jack Powell; step son-in-law, Clark Knowles; sister-in-law, Jean Powell; brothers-in-law, Wayne (LaClaire) Powell, Ron (Chris) Powell; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and will be dearly missed by her dogs, George and Sam.
