Nancy Fontana

Nancy Fontana, 66, passed away on July 23, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Nancy was born on October 11, 1944 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She moved from Mondamin, IA to Ankeny in 1959. She was employed at the Ankeny Wal-Mart for 25 years as a Pharmacy Tech. She loved people, she had many friends through work and people loved her. She enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Nancy is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Pete, whom she married on July 28, 1962; children, LuAnn Fontana, Patty Barnholdt, and Michael Fontana; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; mother, Margaret Ann of Oklahoma; four brothers, Michael, Patrick, William, Allen and mother-in-law, Helen M. Fontana.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave.
Memorial contributions can be made to the family to be distributed at their discretion.

I am so sorry for your lost. I so miss Nancy, She was the very
first person I met when I started at Wal-mart. Always a smile for her

My heartfelt sympathy to the Fontana family. I had the great pleasure of working and laughing with Nancy and Pete for 6 years. They were like my second parents except they weren't old enough to be. Nancy will be greatly missed by all that knew her. You missed out on alot if you never met this great lady. She taught me alot about enjoying life. I miss you alot Prayers to the Fontana family.

My thoughts and prayer are with the family. Nancy(Mamason)was a very special person in my life. She offered lots of great advice and was always willing to listen. I will miss seeing her cheerful face and personality.

the good times we had with her. She and I shared a lot
of talks over the last several months and they will always
