Joe W. Goode

Joe Goode, 61, died on Wednesday July 13, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday July 16, 2011 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street with burial following at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. also at the funeral home.

Joe was born December 8, 1949 in Des Moines, the son of Howard and Fern (Clary) Goode.

Joe was a member of the American Motorcycle Association. He enjoyed playing guitars and riding dirt bikes. Joe loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Joe is survived by his wife, Rita; sons, Jasen and Justin (Christine) Goode; daughter, Amy (Michael) Martin; grandchildren, Dustin, Jared and Chance Goode and Shania Martin; sisters, Janice Williams, Judy Banker, and Joyce Hines.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry Goode.
