Carol Wilkinson, 71, passed away May 4, 2022 at her home.

Carol was born October 28, 1950 in Des Moines to John and Lillian Wilkinson. She was a great mom, and always had good and loving advice to give. She loved her grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. Family time was very important to Carol. She also loved spending time with her siblings, playing BINGO and taking photos at Christmas time. Following the death of her parents, Carol naturally became the glue of the family, checking in on birthdays, planning family get-togethers and holiday gatherings. Carol loved a good deal and enjoyed thrift store shopping.

Carol is survived by her daughters, Tricia (Richard) Kemp and Kristie Miller; grandchildren, Javon, Jaden, Jordan, Raven, Nico and Sammy; siblings, Margaret (Bradley) Smith, John (Robyn) Wilkinson and Thomas (Gloria) Wilkinson; and many nieces, nephews and other loving family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lillian Wilkinson and her siblings, Patricia Nichols, Harold Wilkinson and Donald Wilkinson.

The family will greet friends Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
