Kyle Houge

KYLE HOUGE, 37, passed away October 20, 2021, at Unity Point Iowa Methodist Medical Center.

Kyle was born December 12, 1983, in Des Moines, Iowa to Gregg and Nancy (Taggart) Houge.

Kyle was an avid motorcyclist and loved working on bikes and cars. He always had to be busy, but above all, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Kyle dreamed bigger than you can imagine. His giggle was something that made you smile just to hear it. He loved candy, especially starburst, Dr. Pepper, and his black crocs. Most of all, Kyle would help anyone in a matter of seconds, he had the biggest heart and would give you the shirt off of his back.

Kyle is survived by his wife, Angel Swartz; children, Kennedy and Kylee; parents, Gregg and Nancy Houge; siblings, Brent Houge and Ashlley (Eric Johnson) Houge; grandpa, Robert Taggart; and a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandma, Twyila Taggart; and grandparents, Glenn and Dixie Houge.

The family will greet friends on Thursday, October 28, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Avon Cemetery, Avon Lake, Iowa. After the burial, the family will hold a celebration of life for Kyle at The District Bar & Grill, 216 Court Ave, #101, Des Moines, Iowa, 50315.
