Celebration of life for Angela McMillan will be held at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 9108 S. Ashland Avenue.

Angela Marlett McMillan was born on August 10, 1964 to Billie Jean and Paul Erwin McMillan in Chicago Illinois.

Angela received her formal education in Chicago, where she grew up. In 2007 Angela decided to relocate to Des Moines Iowa, where she spent the last 14 years of her life.

Angela dedicated herself to family and friends. If she wasn’t babysitting little Cousins, Nieces and Nephews, she was braiding hair, cooking for family and friends, taking time out to care for others in need. Angela always loved and protected her babies (nobody messes with angie babies). Angela gave herself unselfishly to all those who needed her time and listening ear.

After Battling with a few different illnesses Angela fell asleep in death on September 2, 2021 at Unity Point Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

Angela was preceded in death by both parents Billie Jean and Paul E. McMillan Sr., two brothers Elliott and James McMillian, three uncles Percy, Ozzie and Leonard, three Aunts Mattie Flowers, Carolyn Cater and Shirley Kern.

Angela leaves to cherish her memories her two sons Antoine and Andre McMillan, one daughter Anika Mcmillan, four sisters Adriane and Fredricka Mcmillan, Paula(Robert) Jordan and Constance Mcmillan, one brother Paul E, Mcmillan Jr, twenty-three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, six aunts Everlean (Felton) Simpson, Mary (Eddie) Christopher, Delores Davis, Marion Ross, Evelyn Ross, and Frances Barfield, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
