Michael Ray Channon

Michael Ray Channon, 69, passed away on April 13, 2021.

Mike was born July 22, 1951 to Rex and Julia Channon in Des Moines, Iowa. He was an incredible cook who enjoyed traveling, music, and fishing. He was an avid Yankees and Bears fan. Above all, he enjoyed time spent at home sunbathing on the deck with his beloved puppies.

Mike is survived by the love of his life and wife, Mary Heiny; children, Jennifer (Jeramy), Meredith, Jason (Tanna), and Jonathan; grandchildren, Dominic and Payton; sister, Kayla Blanchard; and beloved pets, Maggie Mae and Josie.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.
