Violet Robinson

Violet Orlich Robinson was born into a loving family on August 14, 1924 in Johnston, Iowa. One of 12 siblings, the Orlichs were raised to care deeply for each other & for others.

She graduated from Johnston High School in 1942 & completed her education at Capital City Commercial College. Vi worked as an executive secretary for several prestigious firms in Des Moines.

She was united in marriage with Dale on June 11, 1949. They were happily married for 53 years.

Vi left this world better & departed to her Heavenly reward on February 16, 2021, to be reunited with her beloved Dale & many family members.

The words that best describe Vi are joyful, devoted, organist, potter, supreme apple pie baker, a servant to others, and a friend to everyone. Vi was a love super spreader.

She loved the Lord & cherished her family. Vi is survived by her daughters Jane Clark (Chuck) and Barbara Anderson (David); grandchildren Cami Clark, Kelsey Davis, Tom Anderson (Christina), & Brian Anderson; great-grandsons, Brady Davis, Owen & William Anderson.

Funeral service will be held on 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, Iowa 50310.

Donations may be made to Des Moines Plymouth Church Music Department in honor of Vi.
