To Rita's family, Please accept my deepest sympathy in the loss of your beloved Mother, Rita. I had a chance to work with her in the office for nearly a decade. She was the dearest person, hardworking, faithful and forever cheerful. Her sense of fairness and attention to detail made some very difficult days bearable.
Her constancy was an example to all. I'm sure she and John made the most loving home possible for their family. You were truly blessed to have such wonderful parents. She truly loved having her family around and especially having her grandchildren visit. I'm sure you will grieve this beautiful lady for years to come. Thank you for sharing your wonderful Mother with the world of work.

Doug and David and siblings,
We were next door neighbors to you when the SW 17th St. houses were first built. We moved to Strawberry Point in 1959.
When I got back from Vietnam in 1970 my younger brother Jim and I went to Des Moines so I could visit people in the old neighborhood. We first went to your house and talked with your mom and dad. Then we went to Bammy's pizza place for awhile.
I have fond memories of when we were neighbors. I liked your mom and dad and felt safe and cared for when I had dealings with them. That's probably why I wanted to visit them after Vietnam.
Sorry for your loss.
