Service Details
Twyla Veronica Davis, 86, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2012. Services will be at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2926 Beaver Avenue in Des Moines, on Saturday, November 24, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery.
Twyla was born on May 2, 1926, in Denison, Iowa, to Theresa and August Stodden. She was a devoted homemaker, and enjoyed camping, boating, and her membership at Holy Trinity Church.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Davis; son, Ron (Terri) Davis, daughter, Jaxine “Jackie” Finnell; grandchildren, Brian C. Davis, Bradley J. (Tina) Davis, Kenneth C. Smith, Brenda L. Munden, and Angel M. Richardson; great-grandchildren, Kennedy L. Munden and Kasen C. Richardson; brother, Charles Stodden; sister, Charlene Reischl; and many other family members. Twyla was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Merlin and Gerald Stodden.

Harold, I am so sorry for your loss. Twyla was a lifetime pardner and soul mate and the loss will be painful. My prayers will be for you to remember all the good times that you and Twyla shared together with your extended family. God Bless you and all of your loved ones, Uncle Harold.

Twyla, I can still remember your and Harold's wedding. I can also remember many of the times that the Davis Clan gathered over the years to celebrate many family events. I remember when Ronnie and Jackie were just youngsters, only slightly older they my own offspring. God Bless you, Twyla, may all of your days in heaven be joyful, until we meet again.
