Theodore Wesley Ashley, Jr., 80, passed away on April 15, 2025 at Wayne County Hospital. Waiting for him is his loving wife, Jackie. He was born on April 6, 1945 to Theodore and Veva Ashley Sr.

Ted was a hard-working man. He retired from Gilcrest/Jewett Lumber Co., after which he went on to be a beloved “taxi” driver for the Amish. Ted was an avid golfer. He was loved by those who knew him.

A memorial visitation will take place on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 4-00 -7:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW, Altoona, Iowa. Ted will be laid to rest on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 4400 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines, Iowa.
