Scott Eaton, also known as “Popeye”, 62, passed away on May 11, 2024 in Des Moines. He was born on September 29, 1961 to Marlin and Donna Eaton.

Scott worked in the concrete industry for over 20 years. He grew up in Pleasant Hill and later moved to Polk City. Scott enjoyed fishing, collecting eagles, frisbee golf and go karting with his grandkids. His trips to Mason City and Clear Lake for the 4th of July and watching the fireworks were a must summer event. He proudly served in the Army National Guard. Scott loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

Scott is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Tammy; children, Joe Eaton, Jessica Johnston, David (Amanda) Schulte and Angela (Danny) Parker; grandchildren, America, Alexia, Hunter, Alantis, Benjamin, Alyssa and EmmyLee; siblings, Gary (Donna) Eaton and Rusty (Mary) Eaton; niece, Sarah (Richie) Grant and his beloved rottweilers.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marlin and Donna Eaton; brother, Ryan Eaton and step mother, Jane Eaton.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, Iowa
