Rosalie (Zuercher) Hess

Rosalie (Zuercher) Hess, of West Des Moines, Iowa, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2025.

Rose was born in 1938 in Merced, California. She spent the majority of her life raising her children and working as a bookkeeper, bringing care and dedication to everything she did.

She was known for her long, beautiful white hair, her bright smile, and her graceful presence—gaining her hugs and warm greetings everywhere she went. She adored the color blue and had a lifelong love for the ocean. She was beautiful, kind, and dearly loved.

Family was her greatest joy. She treasured her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also shared a close bond with her older brother.

Rose wished to be cremated and to remain in the hearts of her loved ones scattered across the country, in lieu of any formal services.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
