Pearl Lowery

Pearl Lowery, 94, passed away on September 19, 2023, at CHI Health Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

Pearl was born on August 29, 1929, to Claude and Maude (Cole) Frazier in Zook Spur, Iowa. She attended East High School and went on to earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Grandview College. Pearl later received her Master’s Degree in Education from Drake University. She continued working towards her Doctoral Degree until her health became an issue.

Pearl was a member of the Promised Land Worship Center in Omaha, Nebraska. She enjoyed designing challenges for her students, sewing, sketching pictures, ceramics and bowling. She also really loved fishing.

Pearl is survived by her daughters, P. Joyce King and Denise Hopkins (Gary); son, H.D. Lowery (Janine); 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of extended loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Maude Frazier; sisters, Catherine Frazier, Dorothy Frazier, Maude Hanna Madeline Edmonds, Barbara Jean Lowery, Lavinia Baylis-Davis and Betty Westley; and her brothers, James Beasby, Samuel Frazier, Floyd Frazier, Claude Frazier Jr. and Robert Frazier.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2023, beginning at 12 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Pearl will be laid to rest at Glendale Cemetery.
