Margie was born to Earle and Winifred Vinson on June 8, 1938, in Milo, Iowa. She was a wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed time with her family and friends and also traveling with her husband, Larry

Margie is survived by her daughters, Becky (Joe) Solinger of Altoona and Jenny (Jim) Coulson of Runnells; sons, Larry Wood III of Kansas City, Tom (Diane) Wood of Ankeny and John (Glenda) Wood of Omaha; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Margie was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Laurence B. Wood II; parents Earle and Winifred Vinson; sisters, Carol Pennington and Pat Williams.

Family will be greeting friends from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Monday, December, 8, 2025, at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW, Altoona, Iowa. A funeral service will he held following visitation at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. Margie will be laid to rest at Altoona Cemetery in Altoona, Iowa
